FCE (First Certificate of English)

Is a programme aimed at acquiring the ability to talk about general interest topics in a dynamic and accurate way. The certificate obtained at the FCE level represents a verification of a student’s active command of the English language and can be used as a document when applying for a job or registering for a course of full-time, postgraduate or specialist study in any country where English is an official language.

CAE (Certificate of Advanced English)

represents a follow-up to the FCE level, and the certificate received after passing the exam at this level can be used in English-speaking countries as proof of high-level language competence.

CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English)

represents the highest possible level of learning the English language. The certificate received after passing the exam at the CPE level is proof of a sovereign command of both spoken and written English. Persons who have passed the CPE exam can work as teachers of English in some of the private language schools in our country and abroad.

All three levels are aimed at learning the English used in the real-life business environment and developing the relevant language skills. These courses can be attended by students who already have the knowledge of English at the Intermediate II (Srednji II) general level.

The exams for obtaining the certificates awarded by the University of Cambridge are organized several times a year by the British Council, Belgrade, where candidates also register for taking the exams.

TOEFL (Test Of English as a Foreign Language)

is a course intended for the students who want to take the TOEFL test, which assesses their ability to use and understand standard American English at a level sufficient to enable them to study or work in the United States or another English-speaking country.

IELTS (International English Language Testing System)

is a course intended for the students who want to take the IELTS test in order to be able to study or work in Great Britain, America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or Ireland. The results of this test are also recognized by many professional associations, immigration authorities and other governmental agencies of these countries.
