 Djuro Salaj School of Languages is one of the three oldest language schools in Belgrade. We are not only a school with a long tradition and experience, but one that keeps up with the times and new trends in teaching and all segments of the foreign language learning process.
Where are we? - The School is situated in the very city centre, at an attractive and rather busy location in Slavija, at 28 Nemanjina Street. Our school also has outlets in several other locations: MZ Sava, MZ Akademija, OS Sveti Sava, OS Pavle Savic.
Our students — In over 55 years the School has had thousands of students, many of whom still keep coming back, some even bringing their children, who we love teaching both language and everyday skills.
We are special because ... — We are proud to be able to say that we were among the first to introduce preparatory classes for taking Cambridge exams (FCE, CAE, CPE), IELTS and TOEFL, as well as Portuguese classes and crammers for the bilingual class of the Third Belgrade Comprehensive School. We can also boast of our offer of courses in over 20 foreign languages, as well as of the Serbian language classes for foreign nationals. Our offer also includes all Scandinavian languages, Chinese, Arabic, Japanese, Turkish ... We wish to single out the two-month Dutch language course, which focuses not only on the language, but on Dutch history and culture as well. It is a preparatory course for taking an exam in the Embassy of the Kingdom of Holland for obtaining a longstanding Dutch visa. The course consists of 48 classes, i.e. three times two classes a week, and costs 30,000 dinars, payable in two instalments.
 Our teachers and syllabus — All our teachers hold university degrees and are members of professional associations. All syllabuses have been standardized in line with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2). The School issues certificates attesting the level of achievement both to its own students and anyone that has successfully passed a relevant language test without attending a course. Over 20 languages (including English, Italian, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Danish, Dutch, Turkish, Slovenian, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish, Arabic, Latin and Serbian) are currently being taught through group, semi-individual and individual classes.
Very proud of successful cooperation - We can boast of successful and longstanding cooperation with numerous companies, both domestic and foreign, among which we single out the cooperation with the National Bank of Serbia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the NIS Oil Company, the Institute for Manufacturing Banknotes and Coins, the Serbian Armed Forces, the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology, the Ministry of Science and the Protection of the Environment, the Ministry of State and Local Self-Government, the Ministry of Economy, the Secretariat for Information, the Higher School of Tourism, the Srbijasume Public Company, the CIP Institute for Traffic, the Belgrade Electricity Board, the Ateks Textile Company, the Politika Newspaper Publishing Company, etc. |
