CAMBRIDGE CERTIFICATES FOR YOUNG LEARNERS

The latest set of the Cambridge ESOL exams comprises the Cambridge YLE testsintended for children between the ages of seven and 12.

Given that very young learners are rather reluctant to take any tests, the preparation for the exam and the exam itself have been designed in such a way as to create and induce motivation for learning English and instill as positive an attitude as possible towards any future official testing.

Our school organizes preparatory courses for exams at all three levels in this set:

STARTERS	the lowest level for children aged seven
MOVERS	the next, higher level suitable for children between the ages of eight and 11
FLYERS	the highest level in this set, mostly for children between nine and 12 years of age.

It is quite possible that the STARTERS exam be taken by children aged 12, for example, just as it is possible for seven-year olds to take the FLYERS exam provided they have sufficient knowledge.
